Each quarter, AODA offers one or more Zoom-based events. Some of these events are for our members and may be geared towards those in certain degrees (candidates, apprentices, GCC members) while others may be open to the broader druid community. Learning, Deepening, and Developing Your Sphere of Protection

The Sphere or Protection forms both AODA’s core daily practice as well as illustrates the seven-element system in which AODA rituals operate. In this workshop, designed for those looking to learn the Sphere of Protection or deepen their practice with the SOP, Dana will demonstrate the SOP and then walk members through each step. We will discuss various uses of the SOP beyond a daily practice, including how to use it for protection, blessing, healing, and more. Members will be encouraged to explore their own adaptations and themes in the larger SOP system. Open to all AODA members and friends of the AODA.

Land Healing Working Group Events
With Breanna Hite
In between our Earth Rituals at the Solstices and Equinoxes, Breanna Hite has started leading a zoom-based land healing working group to create a variety of ceremonies and rituals on behalf of places on the earth that need our healing. The focus of this group is to send healing energy to places damaged by human behavior or negligence. If you are interested in working with a group of AODA members to be of service to the earth, this is an excellent way to get involved on a deeper level and explore how our core Sphere of Protection ritual can be used for healing. You can come to one or more than one event.
The Land Healing Working Group is a project meant to extend AODA’s order-wide healing rituals. In the land healing group, we send healing to specific locations that have suffered human-caused damage from extraction and pollution. So far, we have worked on three sites: the train derailment and chemical spill in East Palestine, Ohio; the dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico; and the Hanford nuclear site in Washington state. In January, we’ll be sending healing to the open-pit copper mine in Butte, Montana.
Our plan moving forward is to continue doing two land healing rituals between each of the order-wide rituals, so that we can participate in land healing work once a month. For each session we have a zoom call to discuss and plan, and then we do our rituals separately.
The basic structure of our ritual land healing is the AODA Grove ritual and the Sphere of Protection. Once those are established, each individual does whatever form of healing work they are called to. Some examples have included prayer, artwork, and energy healing.
